Engines have spent a lot of time optimizing this, and more work is underway. Yet this problem still exists. It doesn’t affect every workload, but it’s something every WebAssembly user needs to be careful about.

At that point, NASA officials had to remotely wake up its computers and, with only limited control of the station, direct it over a location that would endanger the fewest humans.
